I have just listened to my first new album of the week. It's a debut album by Free Reign.
Free Reign is a metal band that consists of former Dallas Cowboys players, including Leonard Davis, Cory Proctor, and Marc Colombo, who have teamed up with Justin Chapman to release their debut album, "Tragedy".
The first song I heard off this album was "Tragedy", which starts off with soft vocals over a muted guitar rhythm in the background. Then it starts its metal feeling with drums entering in, along with bass and the guitar is now distorted. The refrain goes back to the mellow-ish style that the beginning of the song has, then it adds the metal element. The rest of the songs on this album also have that metal feeling, yet this one jumped out at me the most.
I give this album a solid 8/10. I highly recommend that anyone into metal, or Creed, should listen to them. I could listen to this album all day. Who knew athletes could have this musical talent?
